Haahjem® -Forward-looking for more than 100 years

Knut Haahjem Smie og Motorverksted was founded in 1915 with the production of Haahjem glow-head engines (semi-diesel). In line with the changed product range, the company changed its name to Haahjem Mek. Workshop AS.

HAAHJEM® is a manufacturer and supplier of equipment for minerals and the circular economy. The company introduced its self-developed belt conveyors as early as the 1950s. In 1968, HAAHJEM® was appointed as the Norwegian general agent for crushers and screens from the Finnish manufacturer Lokomo OY (today Metso Minerals).

The company's task of making crushers mobile was intensified in the 70s, and already in 1985 HAAHJEM® launched the "Belteknuser'n" - the first self-propelled crusher on belts. The belt crusher was ground-breaking and over the years has changed an entire industry. The belt crusher has now been developed into a whole model range and has until today been one of the main products for HAAHJEM®

The company is the Norwegian representative for supplementary products from several recognized manufacturers in Europe and North America. The business is based on the development and sale of machines and equipment in connection with crushing, screening, sorting, separation, detection, mass handling, loading and unloading solutions with associated product support, as well as the sale of wear and spare parts.

HAAHJEM AS is owned and operated by the 4th generation of Haahjem, originating from Vigra in Sunnmøre.
